Three units were assigned to this incident. Seven personnel responded. We arrived on scene at 1001 hours and cleared at 1200 hours. The incident occurred at 16000 53 Ave S, Tukwila in District 004. The local station is 51. The general description of this property is outside or special property. The primary task(s) performed at the scene by responding personnel was investigation. Other special haz mat actions were also taken. No mutual/automatic aid was given or received. Alarm number 0000503 has been assigned to this incident. B-51 and E-51 were dispatched to a hazmat investigation. Enroute B-51 called for testing equipment and E-52 and Hazmat 51 also responded. Upon arrival there was a city employee who had been exposed. E-51 handled the care of this patient and secured the area. B-51 took command of the incident. Upon arrival of E-52/ HM 52 we discussed the situation and then reconned the area. Took PH of material in sprayer and found it to have a PH of 1. DOE was contacted and they decided to respond now. Checked for further materials. E-51 and B-51 returned. Upon arrival of DOE explained what was found again. Checked sprayer contents and confirmed that it was HCL. DOE diluted contents with water and overpacked the sprayer. Remaining items less the filters were bagged for garbage and DOE took all materials away. E-52/ HM 52 returning in service.
