At 1452 hours on Saturday February 14, 2004 we were dispatched to a gas leak. Three
units were assigned to this incident. Seven personnel responded. We arrived on scene at
1459 hours and cleared at 1515 hours. The incident occurred at 17640 W Valley Hwy,
Tukwila in District 005. The local station is 51. The general description of this property is
warehouse. The primary task(s) performed at the scene by responding personnel was
investigation. Automatic aid was received on this incident.
Alarm number 0000554 has been assigned to this incident.
Upon arrival E51 found no odor of Natural Gas or LPG in the area. I met with an occupant
and he advised the odor came and went throughout the day. He also added that the TFD
had responded to an odor investigation called in by the business next door on 02-13-04.
E51 parked next to a hydrant, E52's Officer and E51 J1 monitored the area and the
structure with the Micro Max ( no detection of NG or LPG) and B51 searched the area.
B51 did find an LPG filling station to outside of a building to the north.
I advised the occupants that our investigation found no source and that their business was
clear. All units returned.
