Tukwila Fire Department
liquid spill. Four units were assigned to this incident. Seven personnel responded. We
arrived on scene at 0911 hours and cleared at 1000 hours. The incident occurred at 10800
I-5 Hwy, Tukwila in District 007. The local station is 53. The general description of this
property is highway or divided highway. The primary task(s) performed at the scene by
responding personnel was investigation. No mutual/automatic aid was given or received.
E53 found about 15 to 20 gallons of diesel fuel on the roadway following a accident
involving 1 truck. E53 stop the flow of fuel from the truck and built a dyke to control the
spread of fuel across the roadway. DOT showed up on location and assisted E53 with
containment of the spill. E53 added E51 with HM51 to bring more rice -haul -ash. A second
DOT truck arrived on location with additional supplies, E51 and HM51 were code greened
in route. WSP (trooper 1165) was left in charge of the scene with DOE in route and DOT
on location. E53 was told that the truck company would be reasonable for any charges that
accrued with the clean up of the spill. E53 went I/S.
Driver of the truck is an employee for Stegin Concrete Lic# A63024H

At 0905 hours on Friday June 4, 2004 we were dispatched to an oil or other combustible
liquid spill. Four units were assigned to this incident. Seven personnel responded. We
