Three units were assigned to this incident. Seven personnel responded. We arrived on scene at 1145 hours and cleared at 1329 hours. The incident occurred at 12253 47 Ave S, Tukwila in District 007. The local station is 53. The general description of this property is 1 or 2 family dwelling. The primary task(s) performed at the scene by responding personnel was investigation. Other special haz mat actions were also taken. No mutual/automatic aid was given or received. Alarm number 0001838 has been assigned to this incident. This alarm was called in by the person renting the garage as a residence at the address of this call. He was released from jail in the morning and found numerous containers in the garage with an unknown chemical in them as well as possible materials used in the manufacture of metamphetamine. He called the KCSO, who contacted TPD, who in turn contacted the TFD. Upon our arrival we found a 5 gallon bucket with two jars with an unknown substance in them and a waste basket with a piece of hose and some rags in it. These items were on the carport area and placed there by the RP. I contacted B51 to come to the scene. Upon his arrival he called for E52 to assist. When E52 arrived, an entry team was sent in to recon the garage. Their search did not turn up any other suspicious materials. They then used ph strips to test the contents of the jars, the strips showed the materials to be acidic. The entry team returned to the command post for a briefing. B51 contacted the DOE to determine how the items should be packaged. DOE decided they would come and pick them up due to the stable nature of the scene. The scene was guarded by a TPD Officer and all TFD units returned.
