Three personnel responded. We arrived on scene at 1919 hours and were met by Costco employee, Sam Galvez that reported his co-worker(now off) witnesses a man pouring what appeared to be a full 2 -gal gas can down the storm drain near pump one. The man was advised to stop but advised "I am almost done and it's not a big deal, I don't care" then left the area. We removed the storm cover and found only a light sheen of fuel in the pit. The liquid level was below the drain pipe by about 4" indicating that none of the product had left the drain pit. We used absorbent pads to remove the small amount of sheen, but do not believe an amount consistent with the the witness reports was dumped into the storm drain. There was not a strong odor and the sheen did not support the amount of 2 gallons.
