En route to the call we were redirected to 13900 Interurban Ave, as this is where the RP had transported the materials to. B51 added himself to the call. The initial call was for smoldering trash bags. The RP was a parks dept. employee. The employee (Doug Bertha) was the RP. Doug had placed the trash bags that he found next to the trash can at 5200 S 158th St (Crystal Springs Park) in the back of his pickup truck. He then drove to another park and finally to the parks building at 13900 Interurban Ave S. where he noticed the smoke coming from the trash bags. He placed the bags in the dumpster and found an aluminum can in the bed of his truck that had been melted by the contents of the bags as the bags were sitting on top of the 12 oz aluminum can. He then called 911. B51 arrived just ahead of L54. B51 and L54 investigated the scene. L54 Crew went on air to do recon. It was determined the product in the trash bags was still off gassing.
