We arrived on scene at 0645 hours and cleared at 1132 hours. The local station is 53. The primary task(s) performed at the scene by responding personnel were hazardous materials spill control and confinement. Other special haz mat actions (identification of product) were also taken. No mutual/automatic aid was given or received. Alarm number 0403972 has been assigned to this incident. Capt. Ewing established command at 0658. After tying in Capt. Fehr relieved Capt. Ewing at 0818. Monitored conditions of spill containment (dyked using rice hull ash) and tied in with Seattle City Light. Command was disbanded when power was shut down to the area. Seattle City Light pickd up spilled transformer oil. Esatablished Plan: Contain Oil Isolate area Identified Oil - Flash point 295 degrees F, Specific gravity .891 Waited for Power company and assisted as necessary. No Offensive actions after spill was contained. Note: Power company used a backhoe to remove the post from under crash bar on rear of the trailer. Skid marks from tractor indicated that the tractor and trailer slid approximately 10 feet trying to remove itself from the post.
