Narrative Text At 2030 hours on Friday May 6, 2005 we were dispatched to a chemical spill/leak. Four
units were assigned to this incident. Seven personnel responded. We arrived on scene at
2039 hours and cleared at 2250 hours. The incident occurred at 18800 ORILLIA Rd S,
TUKWILA in District 5138. The local station is 51. The general description of this
property is dump, sanitary landfill. The primary task(s) performed at the scene by
responding personnel were hazardous materials spill control and confinement. Other
special haz mat actions were also taken. No mutual/automatic aid was given or received.
Alarm number 0501464 has been assigned to this incident.

Narrative Text E51 was dispatched to a spill that was reacting in the back of a U -haul truck. B51 arrived
first reporting no visual reaction occurring. E51 was sent as a recon team. We found what
appeared to be a liquid that had reacted with with something. There were bubbles with no
reaction happening at that time. Hazmat 51 was dispatched to the scene with E52. Upon
the arrival of the trailer E51 went back in the truck with PH paper and took a sample
confirming that there was a strong base present. E51 then neutralized the spill with
Spill -X-C (caustic neutralizer). We then re tested with PH paper and it tested to be neutral.
E53 then completed emptying the U -haul. After emptying the truck E53 rinsed out the

truck with a hose line from the transfer. The truck was then turned over to the driver .
Mr. Luther states he believ s he picked the trash up at 1046 S 124th Seattle.
