Two units were assigned to this incident. Four personnel responded. We arrived on scene at 1311 hours and cleared at 1412 hours. The incident occurred at 16000 Southcenter Pky, Tukwila in District 004. The local station is 51. The general description of this property is street or road in commercial area. The primary task(s) performed at the scene by responding personnel was investigation. No mutual/automatic aid was given or received. On our arrival there was a small pickup truck in the middle of the road. He had 10 - 5 gallon cans of flammable liquid paint. One of them was punctured by a loose piece of metal in the bed of the truck. Approximately 4 gallons had spilled onto the ground. A construction worker close by came to help with a shovel. The driver built a small dirt dike in front of the spill, keeping the spill to a 8' by 4' spill. We called B-51 to the scene. We conferred that we should use Amerizorb and overpack the material. B-51 went back to the station and picked up the supplies. We used a total of 5 bags of amerizorb, 3 - 5 gallon overpack containers, and two large yellow plastic bags. We placed the overpacks and paint covered garbage in the yellow bags and placed them back into the pick up truck. The driver secured the load and left town. See haz mat supply list attached.
