Page: 2 Printed: 06/21/2005 02:34:31 a Incident Report 2005-0501974-000 Tukwila Fire Department Narratives Alarm number 0501974 has been assigned to this incident. I was contacted by B18, who was on the scene. He requested my response to assist in analyzing a posible hazardous materials situation he had. Upon my arrival I was met by B18. He showed me a bottle sitting on the side of the road. The bottle was about one inch in diameter and about 2.5 inches tall.. As I understand it, the bottle was discovered when a utility worker dug up an area next to a water meter. In the spoil pile he noticed some broken glass and this one bottle unbroken. He set the unbroken bottle to the side and continued his work. He then noticed the bottle top had ruptured. He investigated and found the cap to the bottle had a hole in it and some odar was released. He called 911. My investigation found the employee without any symptoms. The bottle was about one third full of an unknown liquid. It was not off gasing, leaking or reacting in any way. I suggested to B18 that he contact Department of Ecology to have them come and pick the material up for proper disposal. That is what he did. I returned in service.
