Narrative Text E52,51,53,L54, A14, & B51 was dispatched to a smell of gas inside a house. On arrival
E52 evacuated the only occupant and turned off the gas meter. All units were code green
by E52 on location except E52,51 & B51. An 1 3/4 pre connect was laid. Initial gas
readings inside taken by E52 had a LEL of 4. On arrival E51 took monitor readings inside
and investigated the cause of the gas leak. A gas stove burner knob was found in the on
position with no flame. PPV was set up by E52. The owner of the house said it had been
leaking sense yesterday. That's when the smell started. The owner was complaining of
slight dizziness. E52 provided EMS and released pt to her own care. The house was turned
over to the owner when all monitor readings were at zero. PSE was notified and was to
turn back on the meter and check all gas appliances.
