Narrative Text At 1354 hours on Thursday August 4, 2005 we were dispatched to a hazmat release
investigation with no hazmat. Four units wereassigned to this incident. Ten personnel
responded. We arrived on scene at 1357 hours and cleared at 1431 hours. The incident
occurred at 14235 59 Ave S, TUKWILA in District 002. The local station is 52. The
general description of this property is 1 or 2 family dwelling. The primary task(s)
performed at the scene by responding personnel was investigation. No mutual/automatic
aid was given or received.
Alarm number 0502699 has been assigned to this incident.
TPD called for FD to investigate a possible meth lab in process. TPD had been searching
yards for a suspect and came across an outbuidling in a back yard that had a possible meth
lab in cooking operation. Set up recon, safety, and a safety line. Found that there was a
still in operation. Had a 55 gallon drum on a large propane fueled cooker and it was
cooking. Shut down the burner. Found large quantity of sugar in bulk blocks wrapped in
burlap and tied with burgandy twine. The operator of the still was found by TPD and he
stated that he was making alcoholic beverages. Various other large glass jars of liquid
with hops aging in them. TPD to report to State Liquor Control board and ATF.
All fire units in service- returning.
E-53 did take pictures of the operation.
