One unit was assigned to this incident. Three personnel responded. We arrived on scene at 2033 hours and cleared at 2117 hours. The incident occurred at 13700 I-5 Fwy N, Tukwila in District 002. The local station is 52. The general description of this property is highway or divided highway. The primary task(s) performed at the scene by responding personnel was investigation. Incident Report 2005-0502952-000 Tukwila Fire Department Narratives E51 sent to a reported gasoline spill from a vehicle fuel tank. E52 on another call and unavailable. E51 arrived to find a pickup truck with a piece of metal wire wrapped around the drive line and some associated material. Material was consistent with items from a box springs mattress. E51 found an approximate 4 inch hole in top of the gas tank where the wire was beating against the tank and punctured it. The fuel lines were damaged as well. Driver stated he had about 1/2 tank of fuel. There was only a small dripping of fuel present after our arrival. E51 found an gas spill due to debris in the road being caught in the drive line of the vehicle. E51 removed the wire and material from the drive line to evaluate the damage. E51 contacted a towing service for the driver via Valley Comm. E51 stood by awaiting the tow as WSP was unavailable. E51 returned in service after the tow service arrived. t James R.
