At 0843 hours on Friday September 2, 2005 we were dispatched to a chemical hazard (no
spill or leak). Two units were assigned to this incident. Four personnel responded. We
arrived on scene at 0851 hours and cleared at 0912 hours. The incident occurred at 5306 S
137 St, TUKWILA in District 002. The local station is 52. The general description of this
property is residential street, road or residential driveway. The primary task(s) performed
at the scene by responding personnel was investigation. No mutual/automatic aid was
given or received.
Alarm number 0503098 has been assigned to this incident.
Upon arrival found a twenty gallon open top drum sitting on the shoulder of the road.
Looked in and found and empty cardboard box floating on liguid. Removed the box and
found approx three gallons of used motor with a square steel device mostly submerged in
the oil. Steel device weight twentyfive pounds or more. No spill on site. Removed the
drum and took to the city shops. Placed steel object into garbage with cardboard box and
dumped oil into the waste oil recycle tank. Found a couple fuel filters and rags in the oil
and discarded them.
E-52 in service- returning.
