Narrative Text At 2011 hours on Friday October 21, 2005 we were dispatched to a gas leak. One unit was
assigned to this incident. Three personnel responded. We arrived on scene at 2019 hours
and cleared at 2025 hours. The incident occurred at 4936 S 114 St, TUKWILAin District
007. The local station is 53. The general description of this property is 1 or 2 family
dwelling. The primary task(s) performed at the scene by responding personnel was
investigation. No mutual/automatic aid was given or received.
Owner (Mr. Stephenson) was attempting to empty a propane cylinder with approximately
1-2 gallons of propane. One of his "ideas" was to vent it to the open air. As a result, some
of the odor of propane seeped into bis house at the basement level. He asked that we make
sure that no propane was in the basement.
E53 personnel used a micromax to verify that no propane was in the basement. E53 Lt
informed the owner that his method of emptying the cylinder probably was not the best.
