Narrative Text At 1430 hours on Saturday December 17, 2005 we were dispatched to a hazmat release
investigation with no hazmat. One unit was assigned to this incident. Three personnel
responded. We arrived on scene at 1435 hours and cleared at 1443 hours. The incident
occurred at 16890 Southcenter Pky, TUKWILA in District 1065. The local station is 51.
The general description of this property is professional supplies, services. The primary
task(s) performed at the scene by responding personnel was investigation. No
mutual/automatic aid was given or received.
Alarm number 0504513 has been assigned to this incident.
Upon arrival Ms Tram met us and advised that they had been smelling natural gas inside of
the business. We could not smell anygthing up front. Did bring in the micromax for air
sampling and no readings were being detected. Ms Tram states that there is a gas fired hot
water heater in the back and she suspects that this is the problem. In the rear storage,
laundry, shower area we find the back door open. Ms Tram states that she has had it open
because of the odor. No odor detected and no reading on the micromax in the back area.
Check outside and find nothing also.
