Narrative Text At 1320 hours on Tuesday January 24, 2006 we were dispatched to an oil or other
combustible liquid spill. One unit was assigned to this incident. Three personnel
responded. We arrived on scene at 1320 hours and cleared at 1417 hours. The incident
occurred at 13945 56 P1 S, Tukwila in District 0865. The local station is 52. The general
description of this property is residential street, road or residential driveway. The primary
task(s) performed at the scene by responding personnel was removal of hazardous
materials. No mutual/automatic aid was given or received.
Alarm number 0600270 has been assigned to this incident.
E-52 was at the City Shops when the mechanics received a call for help with a blown
hydraulic line on a dump truck. They stated that they had spill and needed assistance with
cleanup and truck repair. E-52 responded to the locatiion and found the City truck in the
street with the box up and hydraulic fluid on the roadway in the area of the left front tire.
There was 1 1/2 to two gallons spilled. The Water Dept crew had placed about eight
absordant pads on the spill and also used several rags to form a diked area. We spread two
bags of Amerisorb on the spill also and worked it in with a broom. Picked up the pads,
rags, and Amerisorb and placed into a plastic bag. After the truck was moved cleaned up
remaining spill spots and then recovered with a light layer of Amerisorb.
City Shops took the contaminated materials away.
