Narrative Text At 0844 hours on Tuesday March 14, 2006 we were dispatched to a gas leak. Five units
were assigned to this incident. Eight personnel responded. We arrived on scene at 0848
hours and cleared at 0941 hours. The incident occurred at 10845 E Marginal Way S,
Tukwila in District 008. The local station is 53. The primary task(s) performed at the scene
by responding personnel was investigation. Automatic aid was given on this incident.
E53 was called to a construction crew hitting a gas line when digging. E53 found that the
crew had dug up a 1" natural gas line in the middle of the street. E53 established command
and pulled a pre -connect. L54 covered the buildings in the area to let the occupants know
what was going on out front and to see if they could smell and gas in side the structure.
Added PSE to the call to mid -agate gas pipe. B-51 on location took over East Marginal
Way Command. Code greened E24 on location. PSE capped gas line and added L54 with
air monitoring inside the business again with the micro max for natural gas. E53 and other
Tukwila fire units secured there equipment and returned in service.
Alarm number 0600864 has been assigned to this incident.
