Narrative Text At 0955 hours on Thursday May 25, 2006 we were dispatched to a gas leak. One unit was
assigned to this incident. Three personnel responded. We arrived on scene at 0955 hours
and cleared at 1029 hours. The incident occurred at 14475 59 Ave S, Tukwila in District
002. The local station is 52. The general description of this property is educational. The
primary task(s) performed at the scene by responding personnel was investigation. No
mutual/automatic aid was given or received.
E52 received a report of the smell of natural gas from a city employee that was checking a
water meter on the north side of the Tukwila Library. The smell of the gas was coming
from a meter box that is part of the sprinkler system and only has a water line in it. E52
tested the area with the micro max and got a hit at the box only showing a LEL of 4. E52

Narratives
notified PSE and City of Tukwila Public Works Department. Greg Villanueva from public
works came out and inspected the area and he said he would follow up on this as the point
of contact for the City of Tukwila. PSE showed up minutes later and E52 showed him the
box the smell was coming from. The PSE employee also got a hit on his tester, and after
looking around said that he was going to call in for some help on this one.
