Two units were assigned to this incident. Four personnel responded. We arrived on scene at 0915 hours and cleared at 1041 hours. The incident occurred at 5800 Southcenter Blvd, Tukwila in District 003. The local station is 52. The general description of this property is service station, gas station. The primary task(s) performed at the scene by responding personnel was investigation. No mutual/automatic aid was given or received. The estimated content loss was $70. The estimated content value was $70. Alarm number 0602329 has been assigned to this incident. Dispatched to "intentional" gasoline spill. On hearing this, E52 called for police assistnce. E52 arrived to find negligence caused gasoline spill. Paul Wu mistakenly filled his diesel gas tank with gasoline. When he discovered this mistake, he attempted to give his gasoline away to passersby. Off loading his fuel tank caused approximately 5 gallons of gasoline to spill. E52 arrived to find the spill, applied Amerizorb, and also stopped a small leak from the fuel tank. E52 used two bags of Amerizorb. Also, E52 found gasoline in unapproved containers. E52 stood by while the gasoline was offloaded into approved containers - approximately 10 gallons were offloaded into gasoline cans by a passerby, and another 5-10 gallons were returned to the AM/PM underground tanks. E52 left the scene when the gasoline had been completely offloaded into approved containers, and all gasoline vapors had dissipated. There may be some question regarding the responsibility for the final sweepup/cleanup of the Amerizorb. The Penske Truck Leasing Company's position was that the responsibility belonged to Mr. Wu, because the truck had been leased, not rented. The AM/PM store operator was told that he should get the Amerizorb cleaned up. He apparently operates or is employed by Reliable Transportation, 3501 13 Av. S., Space #303, Seattle, WA 98144. Telephone 206-992-4616. The Truck: Freightliner Business Class M2, WA license plate No. A74325Y. Owner of the leased truck is: Penske Truck Leasing, 3443 1 Av. S, Seattle, WA 98134. Telephone 206-682-7000. Note - Tukwila Police on scene discovered that Mr. Wu had an outstanding warrant, and arrested him.
