Konieczka, Jason Author Rank LT Author Assignment 1 Narrative Text At 1625 hours on Sunday October 1, 2006 we were dispatched to a gasoline or other flammable liquid spill. Five units were assigned to this incident. Four personnel responded. We arrived on scene at 1634 hours and cleared at 2050 hours. The incident occurred at 6910 S 123 St, Seattle in District O/J. The local station is 53. The primary task(s) performed at the scene by responding personnel were hazardous materials spill control and confinement. Mutual aid was given on this incident. Alarm number 0603531 has been assigned to this incident. Page: 3 Printed: 10/01/2006 22:56:27 Incident Report 2006-0603531 -000 Tukwila Fire Department Narratives HM 51 requested by District 20 to help with a fuel leak from an overtumed boat. District 20 command was requested to call station 51 to determine what exactly was needed at the scene. It was determined that absorbent was all that was required, so utility 51 was loaded up with Amerizorb and the plug and diking kits were added. Engine 51 and Utility 51 preceded to the scene where a 22-23' Bayliner cabin cruiser had fallen from a driveway approximately 8-10' down onto a parked car, and landed nearly upside-down resting on the tongue of the trailer on the wall, and the stem of the vessel on the pavement. The 60 gallon fuel tank (said to have been full) was leaking out of the fill tube. A rubber plug with epoxy pig putty was used to stop the leak. There was approximately 2-3 gallons on the groung, and Amerizorb was used to absorb it. Ten bags of Amerizorb were used. At the time of this report, the insurance information had not been faxed from District 20 yet.
