Three units were assigned to this incident. Eight personnel responded. We arrived on scene at 2012 hours and cleared at 2148 hours. The incident occurred at 15920 W Valley Hwy, Tukwila in District 005. The local station is 51. The general description of this property is hotel/motel, commerciaL The primary task(s) performed at the scene by responding personnel was investigation. No mutual/automatic aid was given or received. Alarm number 0603922 has been assigned to this incident. E51 arrived to find strong odor of gasoline in front entry and throughout first floor of Embassy Suites. B51 and E52 were added immediately and Command was set up. It was determined a car had parked near the front entrance, leaked a small amount of fuel, then drove around to the north side of the building were it may have parked. It was estimated that anywhere from 1-10 gallons total were spilled. E5l's crew used the Micromax inside of the building to determine there was not an unsafe level of fumes inside. The LEL level was low inside the building, so it was deducted that the odor was coming in through the front doors and people were tracking it in. A plan was put into place, which was to place absorbent pads in all of the catch basins that contained gasoline. It was determined which contained gas by using the micromax. Amerizorb was used to absorb as much of the product on the surface. The entire front covered area was covered with a light dusting of Tide and hosed off with a hoseline from E51. The pads were left in the catch basins to continue to soak up any gas entering them from the rain. They will be picked up tommorow by E52's crew.
