Narrative Text At 1130 hours on Saturday February 17, 2007 we were dispatched to a gas leak. Three
units were assigned to this incident. Seven personnel responded. We arrived on scene at
1137 hours and cleared at 1233 hours. The incident occurred at 5005 S 124 St, TUKWILA
in District 007. The local station is 53. The general description of this property is vacant
lot. The primary task(s) performed at the scene by responding personnel was investigation.
Other special haz mat actions were also taken. No mutual/automatic aid was given or
received.
E53, E52, and B51 were dispatched to a natural gas leak. The original address was 4821
S. 124 St. E53 arrived first at this address and found nothing. While investigating, B51
drove around to 125th St and found the leak as well as the contractor who was responsible.
The event was on 125 St, although it is addressed on 124th.
B51 found that a contractor had broken a 3/4" steel natural gas pipe while excavating on
the property. This pipe was actively leaking.
B51 had E52 lay a protective line. E53 was asked to locate a hydrant and stand by. PSE

was requested. PSE arrived about 20 minutes later and secured the line. E52, E53, and
B51 then went into service.
