Narrative Text At 0651 hours on Wednesday March 21, 2007 we were dispatched to a gasoline or other
flammable liquid spill. One unit was assigned to this incident. Three personnel responded.
We arrived on scene at 0659 hours and cleared at 0718 hours. The incident occurred at
13435 Interurban Ave S, Tukwila in District 001. The local station is 52. The general
description of this property is service station, gas station. The primary task(s) performed at
the scene by responding personnel were hazardous materials spill control and confinement.
No mutual/automatic aid was given or received.
Alarm number 0700889 has been assigned to this incident.
Upon arrival E52 discovered Approximately 5 gallons of diesel on the ground at the fuel
island. The driver of a truck was filling his tank when he discovered fuel leaking from the
tank. The driver stopped filling and the leak stopped when the fuel level reach the level of
the hole in the tank. E52 soaked up the spilled fuel with absorbent pads and disposed of
them in an on site dumpster. E52 advised the driver of the truck to have the truck repaired
before attempting to move the.yehicle. E52 returned in service.
