Narrative Text At 1109 hours on Saturday June 2, 2007 we were dispatched to a gas leak. Two units were
assigned to this incident. Seven personnel responded. We arrived on scene at 1116 hours
and cleared at 1145 hours. The incident occurred at 16028 47 Ave S, Tukwila in District
004. The local station is 54. The general description of this property is 1 or 2 family
dwelling. The primary task(s) performed at the scene by responding personnel was hazard
removal. Other special haz mat actions were also taken. No mutual/automatic aid was
given or received.
Alarm number 0701808 has been assigned to this incident.
L54 E51 dispatched to a natural gas leak in the yard of a private residence. L54 on
location found an approx. 1/2 plastic gas line had been severed by a shovel. The
homeowner was digging a hole for a plant in his yard when he struck the gas line. His wife
then called 911 and PSE. L54 crew plugged the line and clamped it with a vice grip.E51
investigated the home next door for gas accumulation. PSE arrived and took over the
scene. L54 E51 returned.
