Narrative Text At 1348 hours on Monday June 4, 2007 we were dispatched to a gas leak. Two units were

Narrative Text At 1348 hours on Monday June 4, 2007 we were dispatched to a gas leak. Two units were
assigned to this incident. Four personnel responded. We arrived on scene at 1351 hours

and cleared at 1409 hours. The incident occurred at 14005 42 Ave S, Tukwila in District
011. The local station is 51. Other special hoz mat actions were also taken. Mutual aid was
given on this incident.
L54 was dispatched to a natural gas leak at 14005 42nd Ave. S. space #19. Enroute, L54
received addition information the Puget Sound Energy had been dispatched.
On arrival L54 found a vacant space #19 with a broken 1" stub gas line. The line was
broken at the ground level and located in the middle of the grass approximately 20' from
the nearest residence: L54 plugged the leak with a wood plug and investigated all near
residences for possible gas... No gas was found in any of the surrounding residences.
L54 monitored the leak till PSE arrived on location and took control of the leak.
L54 went in service and returned to quarters.
Alarm number 0701844 has been assigned to this incident.
