Narrative Name 0702150 Narrative Type Incident Narrative Date 07:51:02 Thursday, June 28, 2007 Author TF1136 - Johnson, Jeffrey Author Rank LT Author Assignment 1 Narrative Text At 0721 hours on Thursday June 28, 2007 we were dispatched to a hazmat release investigation with no hazmat. Six units were assigned to this incident. Eleven personnel responded. We arrived on scene at 0725 hours and cleared at 0733 hours. The incident occurred at 1201044 Ave S, TUKWILA in District 007. The local station is 53. The general description of this property is 1 or 2 family dwelling. The primary task(s) performed at the scene by responding personnel was investigation. Other special haz mat actions were also taken. Mutual aid was received on this incident. E53 responded to a reported CO alarm at the above address. While en route, dispatch was informed of a "rotten egg" smell in the house and upgraded to a residential natural gas leak call. Upon arrival, E53 used the micromax to determine that there was no CO leak. Incoming units were code greened once we were certain that there was no true leak. It was determined that the CO alarm was old and probably defective. Also, it did not sound a true alarm but was beeping randomly. E53 crew commended the home owner that he had a CO alarm, and encouraged him to buy a replacement unit. He stated that he would. Also, no unusual odor was noted in the house. E53 returned. Alarm number 0702150 has been assigned to this incident.
