Narrative Text At 1622 hours on Wednesday August 15, 2007 we were dispatched to a gas leak. Six units
were assigned to this incident. Twelve personnel responded. We arrived on scene at 1626
hours and cleared at 1731 hours. The incident occurred at 12100 E Marginal Way S,
Tukwila in District 007. The local station is 53. The general description of this property is
motor vehicle or boat sales, services, repair. The primary task(s) performed at the scene by
responding personnel was investigation. Other special haz mat actions were also taken.
Automatic aid was received on this incident.
Alarm number 0702824 has been assigned to this incident.
Units dispatched to smell of natural gas. Tukwila units had completed an investigation of
this same complaint approx. 2 hours earlier, finding nothing.
A54 arrived and investigated, using the Micromax monitor. A54 found nothing.
E53 arrived and investigated, using sense of smell. E53 shut down the gas meter to the
building, and tied in with B51.

All other assigned units were code greened, and E53 called for Puget Sound Energy.
E53 and B51 waited for PSE to arrive. A54 was code -greened.
E53 and B51 met with PSE employee, who discovered a small gas leak in the pipes in the
occupancy. PSE showed Metro/occupant maintenance personnel where the leak was, and
turned over the call to the onscene maintenance personnel.
E53 and B51 returned in service.
