One unit was assigned to this incident. Three personnel responded. We arrived on scene at 0827 hours and cleared at 0836 hours. The incident occurred at 12200 E Marginal Way S, Tukwila in District 007. The local station is 53. The general description of this property is bus station. No mutual/automatic aid was given or received. Alarm number 0703176 has been assigned to this incident. E53 dispatched to Metro "Component Supply Building" for a spill of 10 gallons of lacquer thinner. The Metro "Environmental Specialist" on scene requested FD as a precaution and as a courtesy. On arrival, E53 observed that a forklift had dropped and then punctured a 50 gallon drum of lacquer thinner. About eight personnel were involved in the cleanup: some were collecting absorbent and some were running a vacuum pump that was reclaiming the thinner from the punctured drum. E53 talked to Talon Swanson, the Environmental Specialist, who said that none of the spill had reached a drain, and that he didn't really need E53 to do anything, but that he called for us as a courtesy & a precaution.
