Six units were assigned to this incident. Eleven personnel responded. We arrived on scene at 1455 hours and cleared at 1523 hours. The incident occurred at 3325 S 116 St, Tukwila in District 001. The local station is 53. The general description of this property is manufacturing, processing. The primary task(s) performed at the scene by responding personnel was investigation. Other special haz mat actions were also taken. Mutual aid was received on this incident. L54 responded to a reported smell of gas in the dispatched location. On arrival found the building evacuated of approx 20 people with no apparent problems visible. On contact with the occupant found they had a smell of gas in the building that started approx 1.5 hrs prior to calling 911 and had gotten worse until our arrival. No surrounding occupancies were effected and they had not evacuated their respective occupancies. No levels of detected LEL were found on a survey of the building and on laddering the roof to check the HVAC system found work was being preformed on the systems and there had been a gas leak that may have invaded the lower building. That leak being repaired and now gone, the building was returned to the occupants and L54 returned in service. Alarm number 0703305 has been assigned to this incident.
