Alarm number 0703320 has been assigned to this incident. Dispatched to Natural Gas leak outside caused by digging. Owner of property was taking out a tree with roots that had grown under a gas line. They had the line located but only marked from the street to the meter. They did not mark where the line teed off to go the the house next door. This was the line that was broken. Puget Sound Energy was contacted to respond. Used a clamp to slow the flow. Had this address and the house to the south close all windows. Found the tee and pulled the broken line out of the ground and bent it over and taped it over, completely stopping the flow. At this time, PSE arrived. We advised them as to our actions. We checked the houses in the area to see if there was any gas odors in them, they came back clear with no odor and no flammable readings on the gas meters. E-51 stood by a hydrant and was released. Scene was released to PSE.
