Narrative Text At 2020 hours on Thursday September 27, 2007 we were dispatched to a gasoline or other
flammable liquid spill. One unit was assigned to this incident. Three personnel responded.
We arrived on scene at 2027 hours and cleared at 2047 hours. The incident occurred at
12400 SR 599 Fwy S, Tukwila in District 007. The local station is 53. The general
description of this property is highway or divided highway. The primary task(s) performed
at the scene by responding personnel were hazardous materials leak control and
containment. No mutual/automatic aid was given or received.
Alarm number 0703382 has been assigned to this incident.
E53 dispatched to a vehicle with a leak from its gasoline tank. Driver stated that he had hit
a piece of road debris, causing the hole in the gas tank.
E53 attempted to plug the leak with putty, but that did not work. E53 contained the leak
with a hazmat containment pool. E53 informed the driver that he would have to contact
AAA to have a tow truck come equipped with a pump and gas can to recover the spilled
gasoline and the remaining gas in the gas tank.
