Two units were assigned to this incident. Four personnel responded. We arrived on scene at 1245 hours and cleared at 1330 hours. The incident occurred at 223 Andover Park E, TUKWILA in District 1016. The local station is 51. The general description of this property is street or road in commercial area. The primary task(s) performed at the scene by responding personnel was investigation. Other special haz mat actions were also taken. No mutual/automatic aid was given or received. Alarm number 0800301 has been assigned to this incident. Dispatched to report of a spill of a white product- thought to be paint. Upon arrival did find a five gallon pail of Bear brand, latex, drywall sealer/ primer. Bucket had been dropped from an unknown vehicle and the lid had popped off. Numerous vehicles were driving through the spilled latex paint. Had Battalion 51 respond for a conference. Tried Amerisorb on the spill and it would not even mix with the paint. Called for City crew and a sanding truck. Had TPD respond to assist with keeping motorists from driving through the paint. City crew arrived and went to get a sanding truck. Sanding truck arrived and spread sand over the spill area. Decided to let the traffic driver over the sand for a couple hours and then the City crew would bring back the street sweeper and sweep up the sand and paint mixture. E-51 in service- returning.
