One unit was assigned to this incident. Three personnel responded. We arrived on scene at 1600 hours and cleared at 1816 hours. The incident occurred at 911 Industry Dr, Tukwila in District 005. The local station is 51. The general description of this property is street or road in commercial area. The primary task(s) performed at the scene by responding personnel was investigation. No mutual/automatic aid was given or received. Alarm number 0800963 has been assigned to this incident. E51 was dispatched per TPD request to a spill of 55 gallons of combustible oil onto the roadway. E51 responded to find 55 gallons of cutting oil spilled onto the roadway, along the curb. E51 confirmed the nature of the spilled material, making contact with the truck driver who lost the 55 gallon drum from the back of his truck. To back up the dam, E51 blocked off the storm drain with a plastic tarp. E51 had the trucking company's "spill response team" bring hand pumps, containment barrels, sorbent pads and sorbent materials, with approximately six workers. E51 oversaw the team's cleanup efforts, then laid down a final layer of Amerizorb.
