Narrative Text At 0430 hours on Tuesday March 18, 2008 we were dispatched to a gasoline or other
flammable liquid spill. One unit was assigned to this incident. Three personnel responded.
We arrived on scene at 0437 hours and cleared at 0529 hours. The incident occurred at
5800 S 144 St, TUKWILA in District 0865. The local station is 52. The general
description of this property is residential street, road or residential driveway. The primary
task(s) performed at the scene by responding personnel was hazard removal. No
mutual/automatic aid was given or received.
Alarm number 0801069 has been assigned to this incident.
Tukwila PD was in a short pursuit of a stolen vehicle. The driver of the vehicle lost
control, hit the curb and flipped the vehicle on its top. Initially there was gasoline spilling
out over the tail lites and onto the roadway. TPD was concerned about possible fire
hazard. Upon arrival of E-52 the fuel was no longer leaking. Tow truck had not been
requested yet. Amerisorb was spread on the spill area. Only used 1/4 bag. Broomed the
Amerisorb into the spill. Upon arrival of tow vehicle the crashed vehicle was turned
upright with no further fluids spilled. Assisted with sweepup of glass and debris.
Over the 45 minutes on location the gasoline has evaporated.
E-52 in service- returning.
