At 1556 hours on Monday May 19, 2008 we were dispatched to a gas leak. Six units were
assigned to this incident. Twelve personnel responded. We arrived on scene at 1600 hours
and cleared at 1639 hours. The incident occurred at 13521 MACADAM Rd S, Tukwila in
District 001. The local station is 54. The general description of this property is 1 or 2
family dwelling. The primary task(s) performed at the scene by responding personnel was
investigation. No mutual/automatic aid was given or received.
Alarm number 0801877 has been assigned to this incident.
E53 responded in place of E52 with Ladder 54 from Station 54 for a reported exterior gas
leak at a private residence.
E53 arrived to find a detectable odor of natural gas. E 53 requested PSE. B51 arrived and
to command.
E53 assigned to investigate the leak.
E53 found a post hole and various tools in area associated with fence construction.
RP was digging holes for fence post when he hit the below ground residential gas line.
E53 reported to B51 what we had found and stood by awaiting PSE.
PSE arrived and tied in with B51/E53. PSE secured the gas leak.
