At 1514 hours on Wednesday May 28, 2008 we were dispatched to a chemical hazard (no
spill or leak). Two units were assigned to this incident. Six personnel responded. We
arrived on scene at 1530 hours and cleared at 1545 hours. The incident occurred at 15900
53 Ave S, TUKWILA in District 1015. The local station is 51. The general description of
this property is open land or field. The primary task(s) performed at the scene by
responding personnel was investigation. No mutual/automatic aid was given or received.
Alarm number 0802003 has been assigned to this incident.
Dispatched to a possible dump site of Meth lab chemicals. Upon arrival found a City
employee from the street department who had found some items on unimproved City
property. These items appeared as though they could be chemicals for a Meth lab.
Upon examination found a one gallon can of acetone that was unused. Two botles of Mrs
Smiths Blueing. One bottle of liquid heat additive. One bag of charcoal briquets. One
pair of goggles and a pyrex measuring cup. One package of picture hangers. Items appear
to have been on location for awhile. No open containers or waste of any type. Took
acetone back to the station and left the remainder of items for City crew to pick up for
disposal in the regular garbage.
