Narrative Text At 0823 hours on Thursday June 19, 2008 we were dispatched to a hazardous condition.
One unit was assigned to this incident. Three personnel responded. We arrived on scene at
0833 hours and cleared at 0908 hours. The incident occurred at 4700 S Ryan Way,
Tukwila in District 007. The local station is 53. The general description of this property is
street. The primary task(s) performed at the scene by responding personnel was
investigation. No mutual/automatic aid was given or received.
Alarm number 0802295 has been assigned to this incident.
E53 dispatched to a reported paint spill on Ryan way. E53 on location found an approx.
10X 100' spill on the westbound lanes. E53 and TPD blocked the roadway to investigate.
The material was found to be drywall joint compound. Tukwila street dept also arrived on
scene. Tukwila street dept contacted DOE who did not want to respond as they did not feel
it was a hazard. Tukwila street dept did not want to remove the material, feeling the best
action was to leave the material to dry and be dispersed.. E53 returned.
