One unit was assigned to this incident. Three personnel responded. We arrived on scene at 2255 hours and cleared at 2311 hours. The incident occurred at 185001-5 Fwy S, TUKWILA in District 006. The local station is 51. The general description of this property is highway or divided highway. The primary task(s) performed at the scene by responding personnel was investigation. Page: 2 Printed: 07/11/2008 08:10:57 Incident Report 2008-0802605 -000 Tukwila Fire Department Narratives Dispatched to a passenger vehicle parked on the shoulder that has a gasoline leak. Upon arrival found the vehicle parked on the right shoulder off the pavement and over the dirt. Wet area under the vehicle. Found that Mr Darin Robertson was driving on the freeway and hit a piece of debris that bounced up and punctured the fuel tank in the front left - lower comer. The vehicle even had a skid plate and the debris had bounced up and struck over the skid plate. There was a 1 1/2" wide puncture in the tank. The tank had been 3/4 full and now probable contained 1/2 gallon of gasoline. Placed a Plug and Dike patch on the hole so that while being towed there would be no residual leakage. The spilled fuel, twenty to twenty-five gallons had soaked in the the dirt on the shoulder. Waited with Mr Robertson and his passenger until their friends arrived and they were awaiting the two truck. E-52 in service- returning.
