L54 was at Station 51 on a detail, and E51 responded in their place from 180th and Andover Park West. (E53 was out of service on a previous alarm). B51 added himself to this response. E24 arrived at 1515 hrs to find a broke' natural gas line in a trench immediately south of the address given. PSE was called to the scene. Upon arrival, the PSE technician located and exposed the broken pipe and stopped the leak/flow of CNG. E51 stood by in PPE with air monitoring equipment (E24 was released from the scene). When the gas supply had been secured, the technician verified that this was the only leak (he stated there were several service stubs in the area). Upon verification and consultation with the PSE Fitter (who was also en route to the scene), we determined that Fire Standby was no longer necessary. Scene turned over to the PSE representative and E51 cleared.
