Crowley, Mark Author Rank FFI Author Assignment 1 Narrative Text Engine 52 arrived on location and stood by on E Marginal Way, as instructed by Battalion 51 (Metro Command). Subsequently assigned to go the roof (via interior roof access) and secure the HVAC unit that served maintenance bays 12, 13, 14, and 15. E52 was met by Metro employee, Dan Yueller, and went to the roof. Affected unit was located, shut off at the electrical switch and natural gas supply line was closed. Reported progress to command and then directed to leave the roof. On the ground, E52 was assigned to wait on location until the arrival of Puget Sound Energy and relay FD operations to the PSE representative. E52 then left the scene. 0804189 Incident 07:22:54 Sunday, November 2, 2008 TF 1122 - Peterson, Lavern CAPT 1 At 1442 hours on Saturday November 1, 2008 we were dispatched to a gas leak. Six units were assigned to this incident. Eleven personnel responded. We arrived on scene at 1448 hours and cleared at 1523 hours. The incident occurred at 12100 E MARGINAL Way S, TUKWILA in District 007. The local station is 53. The general description of this property is outside or special property. The primary task(s) performed at the scene by responding personnel was investigation. Other special haz mat actions were also taken. Mutual aid was received on this incident. Reported smell of natural gas inside repair by 12 & 13 at the Metro Repair Facility. Upon our arrival and investigation there was a slight smell with did not register on our gas meter inside the building. E53 did gas testing, L54 secured the meter, E52 went to the roof to secure the HVAC and B51 established command. It was determined that the HVAC had malfunctioned (a problem that has occurred before). and there was no danger to the occupants after the system was shut down and there area ventiluget Sound Energy was call and the building was turned over to the owner.1 Alarm number 0804189 has been assigned to this incident.
