Narrative Text E53 dispatched to a flammable liquid spill. Reports of a sheen on the roadway making it
difficult for vehicles to get up the hill on S 129 St.
B51 added himself to the call and arrived first on location to find a sheen on the road that
started at 4200 S 124 St, continued down S 124 St and up the hill on S129 St. The spill
smelled like diesel fuel. B51 had E53 shut down the eastbound lane at the intersection of
S 125 St. B51 shut down the west bound lanes for a short time until it was confirmed that
the spill was isolated to the eastbound lanes at which time the west bound lanes were
reopened.
Tukwila Police arrived on location and assumed traffic control duties from E53.
Tukwila Police assumed responsibility for the scene and were in the process of getting a
sand truck to the location.
E53 and B51 returned in Service.
