One unit was assigned to this incident. Three personnel responded. We arrived on scene at 0303 hours and cleared at 0324 hours. The incident occurred at 10700 27 Ave S, Tukwila in District 008. The local station is 53. The general description of this property is vehicle parking area. The primary task(s) performed at the scene by responding personnel was investigation. No mutual/automatic aid was given or received. Alarm number 0804674 has been assigned to this incident. E53 sent to a reported diesel spill. Unknown amount from a parked semi spilled into storm sewer from a reportedly blown fuel filter. The semi had been said to be leaking for up to 15 minutes. Dikes and booms were already present around catch basin. E53 found diesel in the storm sewer unknown quantity. The spill was isolated to the one catch basin and the pipe immediately downstream. The next catch basin down stream does not show signs of the spill. No spill mitigation measures were taken by TFD. All spill control measures were done by US Postal Service personnel. US Postal Service had made contact with EPA. E53 spoke with them and described the spill and the area affected. E53 advised the US Postal to make contact with an environmental clean up company to come and clean out the storm sewer system. US Postal service has all the contact information of the responsible party. E53 returned in service. apt James R.
