Narrative Text At 1809 hours on Friday July 3, 2009 we were dispatched to a gas leak. Two units were
assigned to this incident. Six personnel responded. We arrived on scene at 1814 hours and
cleared at 1910 hours. The incident occurred at 12642 Interurban Ave S, Tukwila in
District 001. The local station is 53. The general description of this property is gas
distribution, pipeline. The primary task(s) performed at the scene by responding personnel
was hazard removal. Other special hoz mat actions were also taken. No mutual/automatic
aid was given or received.
Alarm number 0902311 has been assigned to this incident.
E53 E52 dispatched to a possible gas leak at Suburban propane. The RP was a passerby
who reported a smell of gas and heard something hissing. E53 on location found an
approx. 100 gallon propane tank that had been left sitting on a jersey barrier in the parking
lot. E53 investigated and found the fill valve and the release valve open and releasing
product into the air. E53 shut both valves stopping the leak. E53 called for a subscriber to
come to the scene. E52 was released while E53 by. A representative from Suburban
arrived and moved the tank into the yard and locked the gate. E53 returned.
