Narrative Text At 1535 hours on Friday January 1, 2010 we were dispatched to an oil or other
combustible liquid spill. One unit was assigned to this incident. Three personnel
responded. We arrived on scene at 1540 hours and cleared at 1555 hours. The incident
occurred at 12800 E Marginal Way S, Tukwila in District 010. The local station is 53. The
general description of this property is motor vehicle or boat sales, services, repair. The
primary task(s) performed at the scene by responding personnel was investigation. No
mutual/automatic aid was given or received.
Alarm number 1000014 has been assigned to this incident.
E53 dispatched to a SPILL from the parking lot of a trucking company. E53 arrived to
fmd a very small oil sheen on rain water, from both the street where cars probably had
been parked, and also from the parking lot of the trucking company (on Southeast corner
of 128th and EMWS). E53 would characterize this as a "normal" runoff during a
rainstorm.
E53 made contact with the occupancy manager, who showed E53 around the truck lot,
then walked down 128 St. with E53. At that point, an individual contacted E53, and said
he had made the call. He stated that there had been a great deal more oil in the water when
he had first noticed it, about an hour and a half before.

E53 returned in service.
E53 contacted DOE, Lauri LeVander (425) 941-7725, who had called St. 51 after the
neighbor had called DOE. When she learned of the amount of the spill, she said she would
send someone from DOE out to investigate next week.
