One unit was assigned to this incident. Three personnel responded. We arrived on scene at 1643 hours and cleared at 1707 hours. The incident occurred at 665 Andover Park W, Tukwila in District 006. The local station is 51. The general description of this property is vehicle parking area. The primary task(s) performed at the scene by responding personnel was investigation. No mutual/automatic aid was given or received. The estimated property loss on this incident was $1,000. The estimated property value was $2,000. Dispatched to possible passenger vehicle fire. On location, we found a van that had driven through two planters with curbs and one with 1+ foot drop in elevation. Dirt was all over the parking lot. Witnesses had said that when it flew off the first garden with its curb, there was fire in the engine area. The driver lost control of what is appearing as a stolen vehicle and ran from the car. Witnesses say he ran back and grabbed something out of the car and then took off again to the south. They stated that the van shut itself off just prior to us arriving. There was no fire or smoke when we arrived. The ignition had been punched. Reports by TPD was that this driver had struck several vehicles prior to arriving here. We deployed a bag of Amerizorb onto the engine oil that was on the ground. Information submitted to administration on that. Damage estimate in lock punched and undercarriage damage. Possible total loss. Vehicle is a 93 Mercury Villager WA license 568 PTB. Insurance carrier possibly Dairyland Auto Insurance ph# 206 763 4770. No policy or vehicle registration in car, but an insurance brochure with card.
