At 1554 hours on Monday May 24, 2010 we were dispatched to a gas leak. Four units
were assigned to this incident. Four personnel responded. We arrived on scene at 1600
hours and cleared at 1634 hours. The incident occurred at 2939 S 135 St, Tukwila in
District 001. The local station is 54. The general description of this property is 1 or 2
family dwelling. Other special haz mat actions were also taken. Automatic aid was
received on this incident.
Alarm number 1001736 has been assigned to this incident.
E54 responded with El9
E19 Arrived on location and discovered a 3/8 inch residential gas line was cut by an
excavator operator and was leaking.
E 19 officer ordered E54 to pull precautionary line while E 19 crew folded over plastic gas
line and taped the pipe to slow the leak.
E54 crew pulled a 1 3/4 inch pre connect while E19 was operating near the gas leak.
E 19 operation was successful.
E54 turned scene over to Duane Ainsworth (PSE Foreman) for repair. PSE stated E54 was
no longer needed.
Excavator operator was Gottfrid Snellman of GS Builders and Developers (253) 833-0844
E54 returned in service.
