Three units were assigned to this incident. Seven personnel responded. We arrived on scene at 0933 hours and cleared at 1008 hours. The incident occurred at 15310 Sunwood Blvd, Tukwila in District 003. The local station is 52. The general description of this property is multifamily dwelling. The primary task(s) performed at the scene by responding personnel was investigation. Other special haz mat actions were also taken. No mutual/automatic aid was given or received. Alarm number 1002017 has been assigned to this incident. Page: 3 Printed: 06/15/2010 23:51:09 Incident Report 2010-1002017 -000 Tukwila Fire Department Narratives E52 dispatched to 15310 Sunwood BL for a reported natural gas leak. While in route E52 was updated by dispatch that a tree service had hit a gas main and Puget Sound Energy had been advised. The first due station is Station 52. E52 arrived to find B51 on location. E52 was given direction by B51 to enter driveway and deploy a precautionary hose line. B51 established Sunwood Command. E52 was given direction to investigate the nature of the gas leak by Sunwood Command. E52 investigated with E51 protecting E52 with a charged hose line. E52 was able to shut down the gas at the gas meter, stopping the leak. Sunwood Command then gave E52 direction to complete air monitoring inside the structure next to the gas leak. E52 found no evidence of any gas within the structure. The public was able to reoccupy. Sunwood Command was disbanded and passed scene responsibility to E52. E52 confirmed with Puget Sound Energy that E52 was no longer need to assist at the scene. This was confirmed. E52 released the scene to Puget Sound Energy and Returned in-service.
