Narrative Text At 1001 hours on Tuesday June 29, 2010 we were dispatched to a gas leak. Two units
were assigned to this incident. Seven personnel responded. We arrived on scene at 1006
hours and cleared at 1014 hours. The incident occurred at 4305 S 158 St, Tukwila in
District 004. The local station is 54. The general description of this property is 1 or 2
family dwelling. The primary task(s) performed at the scene by responding personnel were
to identify and analyze hazardous materials. Other special haz mat actions were also taken.
No mutual/automatic aid was given or received.
Alarm number 1002192 has been assigned to this incident.
Dispatched to a report of an exterior natural gas line being damaged and now free flowing.
Unknown what size line is involved. Upon arrival we were met by Mrs Monica Burk and
her son. She advised that her son had been clearing tall grass and weeds and hit a valve on
a flex line for a BBQ. The valve broke off and the line is now free flowing. Went to the
side of the house and found a 1/2 inch flex line with the valve broken off. The line ran

back to above the meter. Shut off the meter which shut off the line. Leak was now
stopped. Also notice that a flow valve on top of the meter was recently broken. Since PSE
is enroute advised that they point this out to PSE so that the valve on the meter can also be
repaired.
Mrs Burk advised that her husband is enroute and that he will be able to repair the BBQ
line.
