Johnson, Jeffrey Author Rank CAPT Author Assignment 1 Narrative Text At 2002 hours on Thursday July 1, 2010 we were dispatched to a gas leak. Six units were assigned to this incident. Eleven personnel responded. We arrived on scene at 2010 hours and cleared at 2019 hours. The incident occurred at 5145 S 166 St, TUKWILA in District 004. The local station is 51. The general description of this property is 1 or 2 family dwelling. The primary task(s) performed at the scene by responding personnel were material detection, monitoring, sampling, and analysis. Other special hoz mat actions were also taken. Mutual aid was received on this incident. E51 and other units listed above responded to a possible natural gas odor inside a residence. Upon arrival, E51 personnel interviewed the homeowners and found that they noticed a natural gas odor when their car was put into the garage. Upon entering the house, they found that a stove burner on their natural gas stove was on without any flame. They immediately turned it off and left the structure. E51 personnel used their micromax to determine that the natural gas had vented from the building. Personnel went through the building twice and also checked outside for any propane cylinders, BBQs venting, etc. E51 then released the house to the home owners and returned.
